The R.A.P.I.D. medium super fits the new Lyson Multi-frame hive system to grow your hive as the colony needs more space. Medium supers work well for honey collection, or can be used as brood boxes in an all-medium hive. The molded polystyrene design features molded-in-place hard plastic reinforcements on both the top and bottom edges for maximum resistance to hive tool damage. Dovetail joints allow rapid, toolless assembly - just slide them together and you’re done (glue is optional). The dense polystyrene construction is both durable and well suited for cold and hot environments.
The R.A.P.I.D. components, from bottom board through cover, interlock together to provide alignment and prevent components from sliding when stacked. This interlocking design also prevents air leakage and water ingress. For long life, be sure to paint with a quality exterior latex paint.
